Rehoboth Art League Outdoor Show 2026: Fine Art, Fine Craft, Food, Music, and Summer Charm
There are summer traditions at the Delaware Beaches that feel bigger than a single weekend. The Rehoboth Art League Outdoor Show is one of them.
Returning for its 53rd year, the Rehoboth Art League’s signature summer event will once again bring fine art, handmade craft, live music, food, gardens, history, and community together on its wooded Henlopen Acres campus. The 2026 Outdoor Show takes place over two weekends: August 1-2 and August 8-9, 2026. Saturday hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is held rain or shine.
A Summer Art Show With Real Coastal Delaware Character
This is not just a quick stroll past a few vendor tents.
The 53rd Annual Outdoor Fine Art & Fine Craft Show will feature more than 125 artists and artisans from around the country, all displaying and selling original work across the Rehoboth Art League’s 3.5+ acre wooded campus, located just blocks from downtown Rehoboth Avenue.
Because the show is juried, visitors can expect a thoughtfully selected mix of fine art and fine craft. That may include paintings, ceramics, jewelry, sculpture, textiles, photography, woodwork, mixed media, and other handmade pieces. Many artists also demonstrate their creative process during the show, giving guests a closer look at how the work comes together.
It feels relaxed. But it also feels special.
What Makes the Outdoor Show Worth Visiting?
The Rehoboth Art League Outdoor Show has the kind of atmosphere that makes you slow down a little. The setting helps. Instead of a crowded indoor hall, the event unfolds across a shaded, wooded campus with gardens, galleries, and historic buildings.
Visitors can expect:
- Fine art and fine crafts from more than 125 artists
- Artist demonstrations throughout the event
- Gallery exhibits on campus
- Live music
- Food and refreshments
- The historic Peter Marsh Homestead
- Beautiful gardens
- A Dogfish Head Beer Garden
The event blends shopping, culture, history, and summer leisure into one walkable experience.
Food, Drinks, and a Dogfish Head Beer Garden
A good art show should give you time to wander. This one does.
The Outdoor Show traditionally includes local food and drink favorites such as Bountiful Bowls, BrandyLynn’s BBQ, and Hometown Creamery’s Miss Eleanor trailer. In the afternoon, guests can also visit the Homestead Garden, where Dogfish Head craft brews will be offered. Proceeds from the beer garden benefit the care of Rehoboth Art League’s historic gardens, which are maintained in the vision of founder Louise Corkran.
It is the kind of detail that makes the event feel rooted in place. You are not just buying art. You are supporting the campus, the gardens, and the local creative community.
Live Music and Campus Atmosphere
The Outdoor Show also includes live music, with performances typically located in the memorial garden at the center of campus and inside the Tubbs Gallery. A full live music schedule is expected closer to the event.
That mix of art, music, shade, food, and garden paths is what makes the show more than a marketplace. It becomes a full summer outing.
The Docent Fundraiser Supports Preservation
Each year, the Rehoboth Art League’s Docent team holds a fundraiser to support preservation projects on campus. The docents volunteer in the Peter Marsh Homestead, where they greet guests and share information about the site.
For the fundraiser, participating Outdoor Show artists donate work that patrons may bid on online or purchase outright. The 2026 auction closes at 4 p.m. on Sunday, August 9.
For visitors who love local history, this is a meaningful part of the event. It helps preserve the place that gives the Outdoor Show so much of its character.

Admission is simple:
