Dewey Goes Pink 2025: Dewey Beach Turns Fully Pink This Weekend

Dewey Beach is gearing up for one of the most anticipated weekends of the year—the 14th Annual Dewey Goes Pink! This beloved event is more than just a race; it’s a powerful celebration that brings people together to honor, remember, laugh, cry, run, and party—all while raising critical funds for the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition.

Here’s everything you need to know about this year’s event:

📅 Key Times & Registration

  • Packet Pick-Up

    • Friday: 3 PM – 8 PM (Saulsbury Street next to Starboard)

    • Saturday: 9 AM – 10:30 AM

  • Race Start: Saturday at 11 AM (line-up at 10:40 AM)

  • Registration: Organized by bib number, not name. Look for your QR code email or check your number online. On-site ambassadors will help if needed.

🎶 Music & Entertainment

Dewey Goes Pink is as much about celebration as it is about the cause. Live music keeps the energy high all weekend:

  • Friday

    • 5–9 PM: The Pips on the outdoor stage

    • 9 PM: Decade 80 rocks The Starboard’s inside stage

  • Saturday

    11:30 AM–2:30 PM: Kristen & The Noise

    2:30–4:30 PM: Bryen Obooyle of Mr. Greengenes


    9:45 PM    : The Royals on The Starboard’s inside stage

🚗 Parking & Travel Tips

  • Parking is FREE in Dewey Beach, but spaces near The Starboard are limited.

  • Best bets: park on the north end of town or ocean blocks.

  • Uber/Lyft users: arrange drop-offs/pick-ups a few blocks away (Nick’s Mini Golf, Woody’s, Gary’s, etc.).

  • Bicycles: lock them away from Saulsbury Street & Izzy Plaza to keep the race area safe.

🍴 Food for the Masses

Bethany Blues BBQ & The Starboard are teaming up with a massive food operation. Here’s what’s being served:

  • Pulled Pork: 200 pork shoulders, smoked over 4 days

  • Mac & Cheese: 700 pounds of pasta, 65 gallons of cheese sauce

  • Grilled Chicken: 1,850 marinated & grilled chicken breasts

  • Salads: 375 pounds of green beans, 75 gallons of pasta salad, 450 pounds of tropical fruit salad

  • Dessert: 5,500 chocolate chip cookies

Plus, Grotto Pizza’s truck and Vanderwende’s Ice Cream will be on-site.

🍹 Drinks

Outdoor bars will be open Saturday, offering complimentary drinks for registered participants 21+. Inside The Starboard, expect all the classic Crushes and more.

🎁 Silent Auction & Raffles

This year’s silent auction is 100% online, with 75+ items up for bid—collectibles, local experiences, and more. Proceeds go directly to the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition.

    • One from PedalTec (Lewes) via on-site raffle

    • One from Wheels (Rehoboth) via the online auction

🏅 Race Results & Awards

  • Results will be emailed to runners.

  • Top 3 finishers in each age group can pick up medals at the registration tent.

  • Overall winners & fundraising champions will be recognized on stage.
